Baby Dr Appt

Yesterday, April 21st I had my first baby dr appointment with Dr Cunningham. I got their early because they needed me to feel out some new paper work. When I walked back to be weighed Dr Cunningham said "HEY WELCOME BACK...THAT DIDN'T TAKE LONG". She was talking about our conversation that we had had in December about Mike and I trying for another baby. No, it didn't take long because I stopped taking the birth control in December. My appointment went very, can't beleive I had forgotten all that takes place on the first baby dr appt. But it has been 3 years since I've done this. I was thinking I was about 8 or 9 weeks along. I got asked lots of questions about how I planned to deliver, if I had a baby doctor, etc. Dr Cunningham wanted to go ahead and do an ultrasound to check the size of the baby. Well....the baby is measuring at 12 weeks 2 days. WOW!!! She said that since my February period was a little abnormal, since it only lasted a couple of days instead of my normal week that maybe the bleeding was implantation. So, instead of the baby arriving around Thanksgiving we now have an October 31st due date. But, with both Gibson & Blanche arriving almost 2 weeks early Dr Cunningham says the chances of this baby going until the due date would be very rare. My dads birthday is October 11th so that would be cool if the baby arrived on the 11th. I left the office with a big bag of goodies which included coupons, formula, books, journal, and magazines. Next appointment will be May 21st. When the kids all got home I showed them the pictures of the babies. It was so neat to watch Gibson & Blanche looking at the pictures. I'm excited for my next doctor appt.....but it is a month away. I will keep you updated on the pregnancy. I'm still feeling the yucky morning/all day sickness but am thinking it should pass soon. I also went to the walk in clinic yesterday because my throat, eyes, ears and head was hurting so bad. Found out I have strep throat....Dr Northern gave me Amoxicillin. I'm already feeling better just not 100 percent yet. Yes, this is the same Dr Northern that use to deliver babies. I had never met the guy, but after yesterdays visit with him, I liked him.
