Spring Time

What a beautiful morning! The sun is shining and the birds are singing. I'm thinking that spring has sprung. With spring comes the budding of the trees, the grass greens and flowers blum. Also with spring comes the news of a new Baby Halbert that will arrive probably around Thanksgiving time. Yes....you heard me the Halbert family is expecting baby # 5. We are so excited. I found out on my birthday, March 23rd that I was pregnant. I wanted to tell Mike when it was just the 2 of us but the kids always seemed to be right there. Then when I got everyone to sleep, Mike was already dead to the world himself. So, Friday morning, March 26th (which just happened to be our 5th wedding anniversary) I told him I had something to tell him and hoped he wouldn't be mad. I took the pregnancy test and handed it to him. He says, "What's this?" He wasn't mad, in fact he said he was happy. Guess he was really excited because as soon as I left for work, he posted our news on facebook. Of coarse I had no idea because facebook access is blocked for me here at work. But, I started getting emails and text messages from family and friends congratulating us. I was like OH NO!!! WE HADN'T EVEN TOLD OUR PARENTS YET! I was scared that someone would call my parents and tell them congratulations. Luckily Mom called later in the day and I went ahead and told her....didn't want her to hear it from someone else. She wasn't too excited but my Dad made up for her un-excitedness. (don't think that is a word but you get the idea) Dad was like gooody goooody! Whew! Atleast he is excited. Both, Mike and I had decided before Christmas that we would try until my birthday. If it happened it would be God's will....I was leaving it all in Gods hands. So here we are about 6 weeks along. I did one of those online due date calendars and it shows a due date of November 24th. I go and see Dr Cunningham on April 21st, so should know more by then. Kylee and Nolan are excited. Gibson wants a brother and Blanche wants 2 babies....oh NO! She wants a baby brother and a baby sister. Hope that her wants aren't forming in my belly. But, if it is God's will we will love it! I've been having the morning/all day sickness....yucky! But, I had that with the other 2 kids. This baby will increase our family to 7 which will be the last baby Halbert that comes out of my body. For 1 I'm just getting too old to have babies and 2 Mike says this is it! If this baby is a boy as of right now he will be named: Ripken Buck Newton Halbert. I'm still up in the air for a girls name. Kind of liking Emma Joyce or Emma Grace. But, I've got some time to come up with other names.
